Finding Healing, Balance, and Rest: My Journey + A Gift for You

Life has a way of inviting us into deep transformation when we least expect it.

For me, that invitation came in the form of a health challenge that began in December.

It’s been one of the most humbling, growth-filled experiences I’ve had in a long time, and I want to share some of it with you—because I know I’m not alone in navigating these initiations.

For those of us with Creation Code #8 in our blueprint (check your birth name if you haven’t yet!), digestive system challenges often arise as part of our soul’s evolution.

Code 8 teaches us about balance and the wisdom of the physical body as a reflection of our deeper emotional and energetic patterns.

My Health Initiation: What’s Been Happening

Since December, I’ve been facing some significant gut-related health challenges that have directly impacted my nervous system. If you’ve ever experienced issues with the gut-brain axis, you know how deeply stress, worry, and anxiety can become intertwined with physical symptoms.

There have been tough days. Some that required me to lean into every tool I know and even learn a few new ones! Still as I write this, I am down to just five (rather boring!) foods I can eat without triggering a debilitating histamine reaction.

But as with any initiation, there’s been immense learning and growth too. I’ve had to slow down, call in support, and create intentional practices to hold myself through this process.

The Tools Helping Me Heal

If you’re navigating something similar—or even if you’re just feeling overwhelmed or burnt out—here’s what’s been working for me. These tools are simple yet powerful ways to realign your energy and find peace, no matter what’s happening in your life:

  1. Leaning Into Love and Support
    I’ve had to ask for help in ways I’ve haven’t done for years, which brought up some resistance and shame at first. Staying with my mum has been both healing and challenging, but I’ve learned to place my hand on my heart and say:
    “I am worthy of love and support. I receive it with grace.”
    It’s a mantra that’s shifted my mindset deeply.

  2. Creation Rituals
    I’ve been working energetically with the elements—earth, air, fire, water, and aether—to align my energy. Calling on my inner healing team and commanding these elements has been a powerful way to shift and balance.

  3. Meditations
    I recorded a sleep meditation to calm my nervous system before bed, and it’s become my go-to for finding rest and re-centering. It’s just 11 minutes long but so effective. My mum swears by it too! You can download it for free below:

4. Somatic Exercises
Working with my body through somatic therapy and Pilates has helped immensely. I’ve also been using a technique called Havening Touch—a gentle practice that calms the nervous system. If you’re curious, you can learn more here.

5. Supplements and Nutritional Support
I’m fortunate enough to be working with a functional nutritionist to dig into what’s happening at a deeper level and using targeted supplements to support my body.

6. Gratitude and Intentions
Every morning, I set positive intentions for the day ahead. And on harder days, I consciously look for and feel gratitude for the small, positive moments. They’re always there if you look.

What This Journey Has Taught Me

It’s not all been struggle. In fact, some of the most beautiful moments have come through this process. My family relationships have deepened as I’ve leaned on them more than ever before. Yes, old wounds have come to the surface, but they’re also transmuting in ways that feel profoundly healing.

I’m reminded again and again that sovereignty—the ability to claim responsibility and alignment for our own lives—starts with embracing our wholeness, even in the messy and uncomfortable moments. And that’s what I want for you, too.
